Riverview School - Term 1, Week 10, 10 April 2025
Tumuaki Talk
Kia ora koutou, Greetings to all parents, whānau, students, and staff.
As we come to the end of the term, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has continued to support the school, tamariki and staff. We truly appreciate the support.
Staffing at Riverview School: We want to acknowledge and thank Mrs Toni Mason (covering Room 5) and Mrs Tricia Hodgson (covering Room 7). You have supported the school by stepping in on short notice and giving the children a great start to the year. You have shown our HEARTWISE Values and positive role-modelling to those around you. Thank you both for the hard work and time you have invested in the kura. We are excited to welcome Mrs Staples and Mrs Draper back from the start of Term 2. We have missed you both dearly.
Farewell (for now), Miss Gilmore. Today marks Miss Gilmore's last day as she is soon to have a baby son. We wish you all the best, and can't wait to meet the new addition to your family. We will welcome Mrs Elle Haden, who will also be the team leader during the maternity leave cover, to the team.
Last week we held interviews for a receptionist position at school. We will be welcoming Mrs Sarah Fossett (current Learning Support Assistant) into the office. We are very lucky to have Sarah join our admin team.
Thank you to our whānau / families: We would like to acknowledge you, our whānau, for the continued support of our kura and tamariki. Without the input and time volunteered, we would not be able to provide a vast array of learning and experiences for the children. I have enjoyed talking and catching up with many of you about your children, and other exciting happenings in your world.
Camp and EOTC Week: This last week we had the Year 6 Camp and Year 5 EOTC Week. What an awesome week the children, teachers and parents have all had. I must let the children know how proud I am of them, as they all really exuded the HEARTWISE Values. Thanks again to our whānau for supporting these, and our amazing staff for organising them.
